General Otolaryngology

Many patients suffer from common ear, nose, and throat conditions including sleep apnea, voice disorders, salivary gland disease, nose bleeds, nasal congestion, or taste and smell abnormalities. Though these conditions are common, they can cause a significant impact on a patient’s quality of life and may require more attention than that of a primary care provider. With the specialized expertise of an Otolaryngologist, we are able to diagnose and treat various causes of these common conditions.

Sleep apnea is a common condition indicated by abnormal breathing during sleep. More than 50 million adults in the U.S. are affected by sleep apnea and about 20-25% of adults age 30-70 are estimated to have sleep apnea. Sleep apnea is a serious condition that not only affects the quality of your sleep but affects the body’s oxygen level. Severe sleep apnea is known to be associated with other health conditions such as high blood pressure, increased risk of heart attacks and strokes, increased risk of motor vehicle accidents, and early death.
